Public Notices

Public notices are required for Class I and Class II Operating Permits. The public notice period lasts 30 days. They are also required for some Class III permits if defined hazardous air pollutants are present at the facility requesting the permit.

Only the public notice is published here. If you wish to review the proposed operating permit, we will have a copy in our office for your review. An appointment is necessary so that the air quality staff may answer basic questions related to the permit. Should you wish to make official comments for the record, or have more detailed questions, the public notice will provide the appropriate contact name at KDHE. To make an appointment, simply call our office at 913-715-6900.
