Welcome to the Air Quality Program at the Johnson County Environmental Department (JCED) and our new Share the Air website! The purpose of the Air Quality program is to protect both human health and the environment for the residents of Johnson County. Our goal for this website is to furnish you with useful information on air quality issues that might affect your home and/or workplace and maybe even have a little fun along the way. This website will be frequently updated with new information as it becomes available to us.		Meet Wendell


Make a pledge to change a light bulb in your house and help change the world. Johnson County is one of many counties across the nation that is participating in the Change the World competition. The Change the World Campaign is an energy efficiency campaign in which counties collect pledges from residents to not only change a light in their home to an energy efficient one, but to also take other actions to save energy. Energy-saving actions could include power managing computers, choosing ENERGY STAR appliances, and properly programming home thermostats.
